Globalization
I took business English last semester. I thought I really learned a lot from class.
So this weekened, I read my notes that I took in the class before and made them become an article.
I wanted to share globalization to my members.
If you read this article, it is great for me to give commemts to me.
Globalization
Globalization is not only a trade. It is happening now and going to be constantly. In our life I classify globalization into two main parts. One is free trade and another one is culture shock.
Although globalization brings a lot of advantages to us, it still carries same disadvantages to us. For free trade, it seems everything is fair but it is not true. Because we can help supply each other’s needs, we will become over dependent. In the same way, we can make the best use of everything; we will over use the environment and natural resources. For culture, we are easy to lost our own culture, style and distinguishing feature. There is becoming only one main culture can be saved. How can we make the balance and stand stably in the world?
I use the marketing “4P” to describe the globalization.
First, finding where our place in globalization is. In my opinion, a country is equal to a brand. The world is the market. We have to manage our brand image. There are “4P” in the marketing, price, product, place and promotion. It is the easy way to make us understand that if we have the brand image(where our place in globalization is) and we can stand stably in the world(marketing).
Second, not copy only(keep specific). Take the article that is talking about Japanese high technology for example. Globalization is not copy. Because of globalization, there are many similar between culture and culture. It becomes the centralization of state power and we have only strong culture but no more. So the advantages and distinguishing feature of a country are the same as product design in marketing. We have to use them to help our brand image positioning and sell our country(brand)to the world(marketing). To tell the market(world), our brand(country)is special and the market needs us.
Third, to hold the inborn advantage. Take Taiwan for example, the place that is talking in marketing. Taiwan has an advantageous position. We are surrounding by oceans. We have convenient “distribution channel”. It is easy for us to arrive everywhere. I think we have to use this advantageous position to sell our brand to the market(world).
